So the 2010 Stanley Cup title went to the Chicago Blackhawks. They beat out the Phillie Flyers in overtime during the 6th game. Patrick Kane shot the winning goal, and it was AMAZING.
I watched the game with my mom, and I was cheering and jumping around. They never played the horn for this goal. My mom told me to stop getting worked up and wait for a winning goal. Uh… hello? haha. My mom’s silly and a bit blind.
Anyways, this is Chicago’s first team of any sport to become Champions in the last 5 years. And the first time for the BHawks since ‘61.
Sorry Flyers fans… your team just wasn’t strong enough. Maybe if Pronger stopped stealing the pucks, if Carcillo got his anger issues solved, if everybody on your team followed the playoff beard tradition(yeah I saw the one teammate who shaved his off) and maybe if you had a goalie as boss as Annti Niemi, you could have.. aww shit who am I kidding, you wouldn’t have won anyways.
