DO YOU SEE THIS BULLSHIT??
This is a prime example of why I refuse to allow it to slide when somebody calls me a “masseuse”. “Masseuse” is a term associated with this so-called ‘sensual bodywork’, which is just a nice way to say that these girls will give you a handjob after they just rub your back, with their amateur skills.
“Experience a plus but not necessary” !!!!!! Other than the sensual aspect, why should I let it slide when someone tries to associate me with this. That listing basically means that they will train you to do less-than-mediocre rub-downs(I can’t even call them massages), and proper handjobs, you don’t have to have ever gotten any sort of professional training.
It truly bothers me when people want to say I’m a masseuse. I’m nice the 1st time, and I kindly explain why I am a massage therapist and not a masseuse. But when someone decides to continue to refer to me as a masseuse, I get angry. Why should I tolerate to be knocked down to this level, when I busted my ass to get the schooling and training to become a clinical massage therapist. I am a licensed clinical massage therapist, not a masseuse.
{{I’d like to note that women who take these masseuse jobs, good on them. I don’t judge what their choices are, and some women are happy to do that job. My anger stems from people wanting to put me on the same level. I trained in all sorts of techniques, studied the human anatomy and body systems extensively, studied and learned to treat may ailments, etc. I put in a ton of work, and would rather not have my title taken from me. I’m Stephanie LCMT, not Stephanie- Massuese. I worked HARD to get those 4 letters added to my name. Don’t take that away from me}}
